Max was attracted to that storage closet because of his tool, the bat, he later found. That’s the same closet Isabel locked him in later in the chapter. This means, those who can see ghosts who havent found their tool yet are in some manner lead to it..
I lurve the idea of Suzy as a sort of dark magical girl – scratch that, INSANE magical girl – but it might just be aesthetic, too. A way of emphasizing things… or, indeed, emotion.
I would join that club based on the poster alone.

Hm…Also, the bat can attract things. Maybe it’s power isn’t just magnetism, but also the power of ‘drawing things towards oneself?’
